About Us

Matt attended Sheridan College, where he played soccer and  received his degree in General Studies. After college, he apprenticed under various contractors to learn technical framing, deck construction, flooring installation, log work, and stair fabrication. When Matt started Buffalo Built in 2018, he worked throughout the state of Wyoming and Colorado on high-end commercial and residential building projects, before establishing the business in the town of Buffalo. When not at work, Matt is spending time with his wife Savana and their daughter, playing softball, and enjoying his friends and family.

Christian comes to Buffalo Built with years of experience in many aspects of the construction industry. He grew up in Buffalo working alongside his dad in several different trades and, as an adult, worked in remodeling, siding and flooring. Most recently, he owned and operated his own flooring business for five years before joining the team at Buffalo Built in summer of 2024. When he's not at work meeting with customers, preparing estimates, or managing jobs, he's spending time with his wife Kelley and three kids, working on the family ranch, or enjoying time in the mountains.

Wyatt has been building and shaping properties since 2018, bringing a wealth of experience from his own company, where he managed remodels, new construction, and landscaping projects. At Buffalo Built, he applies his expertise to concrete and foundation work, turning empty lots into prepped slabs and handling driveways, patios, and sidewalks with precision. A devoted husband and father, Wyatt and his family center their lives around faith, striving to live out their beliefs at home, at work, and in the community. When he’s not on the jobsite, he enjoys spending time with his family, caring for their horses, hunting, and exploring the mountains.

Taylor obtained his degree in Construction Management from Sheridan College before attending Black Hills State University in South Dakota to run track and earn degrees in both Business Administration and Human Resources Management. Joining Matt in Buffalo Built in 2020, Taylor brought with him not just his degrees, but also hands-on experience from working for a local construction business from the time he was fifteen. In his downtime, Taylor is hanging out with his wife Adrianna and two little girls, playing golf at the local course, participating in extreme sports, or pouring into his local church community.

Originally from Washington State, Mary fell in love with the Bighorn Mountains while working at a local guest ranch for a summer. With a background in construction management and a mind for numbers, she's been a great addition to Buffalo Built since she hired on full-time in January of 2024. In her free time, Mary enjoys reading and studying God's Word, adventuring in the Bighorn Mountains, and hiking or hunting with her husband Taylor.

Matt began his building career in 2020, first connecting with Buffalo Built founder Matt Gilbert while playing soccer at Sheridan College. In 2021, Matt moved to Buffalo to continue working for Buffalo Built, drawn both by the opportunity and his growing love for the Bighorn Mountains. Now serving as a crew lead, Matt brings not only solid construction experience but also a good attitude and a steady supply of bad jokes and one liners to the jobsite. Outside of work, he enjoys watching sports, staying active, snowboarding, camping, hiking, and spending time with his dog and loved ones.

Tristan graduated from Black Hills State University in South Dakota with degrees in Business Management and Marketing. While still in high school, he started a landscaping company called Seasonal Services. After running this company for several years, he partnered with Buffalo Built in 2020, and now manages the business operations. When not busy in the office or meeting with customers, Tristan can be found out on the jobsite working alongside the crew. Tristan has a heart for people and loves spending time with his friends and family,  while chasing around his three young kids with his wife Brittany.

Lauren attended the University of Kentucky receiving a degree in Equine Science and Management, with minors in Business and Agricultural Economics. After college, Lauren moved to Wyoming to work on a local guest ranch where she grew to love the area and the mountains and decided to make Buffalo her home. Known for being hard working and resourceful, Lauren brings these aspects into her work with Buffalo Built. When she's not in the office, you can find her riding, reading, or spending time with her dogs and friends.

Jon has called Buffalo home since the age of three. Growing up, he spent his summers working in construction, developing both skill and a love for building. At 18, he joined the Army, serving 6 years and gaining valuable leadership experience that now carries over into his role with Buffalo Built. After completing his service, Jon returned to Buffalo and stepped into the position of Carpenter Foreman, bringing with him a strong work ethic, proven leadership, and a steadfast faith that guides his work each day. Outside of the jobsite, Jon enjoys being in the mountains, working out, and cheering on his favorite football team—“Go Birds!”—but says nothing compares to his favorite role: being a dad.
